I did not think it would reach this near to home. Every chapter draws you in, makes you consider the belonging and family. The combination of sadness and optimism is crude and authentic. The writer does a great job of describing what life may have in store.
An incredible read! It also captures the hardships of homing away and identity seeking. It makes the personal stories of the author, and the manner in which he combines personal storytelling with familiar general themes. You experience all the feelings, pain, or happiness. It’s a ride you won’t want to end.
It is an emotional account of the vagaries of life. I was transported to the Philippines and was very much in touch with the story of the author. It is not only about loss, but it is also about endurance and strength that one can find in a difficult situation. The themes it addresses will not go away easily.
